Rites Held for Marlette Township Resident
Marlette - Oct. 30 - Funeral services were held last Friday in the Marlette
Mennonite church for Milo T. Mack, 84, who died unexpectedly at the home of his
son, Frank Mack, southeast of Marlette. Rev. L. Griffin, of the Marlette Gospel
Temple church, and Rev. Murphy of the Marlette Mennonite church officiated.
Burial was in the Melvin cemetery.
Mr. Mack was born Aug. 18, 1861 in Hillsdale county and married Miss Ada V.
Grout of Speaker township, Dec. 18, 1887. They lived in Moore and Elk townships
before moving to their farm in Marlette township in 1911.
He is survived by three sons, George Mack, Melvin; Ira Mack, Copenish, Mich.,
and Frank Mack, Marlette; two daughters, Mrs. Atta Cumper, Roseville, and Mrs.
Flora Cotter, of Marlette; Two Half brothers, Fred and Amos Mack, and two
half-sisters, Mrs. Almira Esterline and Mrs. Warren Lutz all of Ohio, 24
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A son, Burton Mack died in 1918 and Mrs. Mack died in January 1944.
