Hulan Wesley Luster died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006. He was 55.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Gary Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Tye Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Luster was born May 24, 1951, in Rising Star, Texas, to Hubert and Reva (Bedingfield) Luster.  He served in the United States Army. He was self employed in construction, having worked on various construction projects in Abilene, Texas. He loved all children, especially his children and his nieces and nephews. He never met a stranger and was known as a story teller. He enjoyed music, dancing and telling stories.

Mr. Luster is survived by his wife, Sharon Luster of Tye, Texas; a son and his wife, Brian and Sherry Luster of Abilene, Texas; three daughters, Jennifer Donnelly and her husband Jonathan of Hawley, Texas, Rebecca Seevers and her husband Kris of Hot Springs, Texas, and Kelly Luster of Abilene, Texas; a stepson, Jimmie Mitchell of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Johnny and Retta Luster of Buffalo Gap, Texas; two sisters, Ethel Dodson, and Huberta Knoll and her husband Clyde, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; his mother and father-in-law, Eula and Moad Horn of Eckert; two brothers-in-law, Richard Horn and his wife Barbara of Eckert, and Richard Rogers of Hotchkiss; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Luster was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Hubert Luster Jr.; two sisters, Tresea Fern Faber and Neva Lee Levingston; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Rogers.
