Edith Lillian Lindsay, 73, of 524 Valley Drive, Crawfordsville, died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday in Carmen Care Center.

Mrs. Lindsay was a teacher, retiring in 1986 after teaching at Bruceville, Kokomo, Bloomington, East Gary and Crawfordsville.  She was a member of the Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association, Bruceville High School Alumni, and the Montgomery County Cultural Foundation.  She was a graduate of Bruceville High School, attended Vincennes University, Greenville College, and received her masters at Indiana State University.

She was born March 13, 1924, near Vincennes, to Willard and Sylvia Allen Anderson.  She married Paul E. Lindsay on April 12, 1952, at Tipton.  He died July 3, 1995.

Surviving are two sons, Richard P. of Goose Creek, S.C., and Michael A. of Oroville, Calif.; two brothers, Ward E. and Alvis Anderson, both of Vincennes; three grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday with entombment in Oak Hill Mausoleum.  The Rev. Arthur Lindsay will officiate.  There will be no calling.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
