Wilson G. Knight, 89, retired farmer, died at the home of his son, Elsie Knight, on Route 2, Dover, January 5th, after an illness of about two years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 6th, at the Pleasant Hill church with Bro. W. R. Hicks officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Knight was a native of Christian County, Ky., but moved to Stewart County about 80 years ago. His parents were Johnson and Nancy Francis Knight. He was married to the late Mattie Galosh [sic] Knight.
Survivors, other than Elsie Knight, include sis daughters; Mrs. Theo Jackson, Mrs. Gus Boren, and Mrs. Clyde Fox, all of Model, Tenn.; Mrs. Willie Mae Griffin, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Green Newberry, Decatur, Ill., and Mrs. John Newberry, Dover; two other sons, James Knight, Bumpus Mills and Barney Knight, Granite City, Ill.; and a sister, Mrs. Link Downs, Model.
Mr. Knight was a member of the Crocketts Creek Baptist Church.
