James Wilson Knight, 87, Dover, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Gateway Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m.  Monday at Anglin Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Sitton officiating.  Burial will be in Kingins-Brandon Cemetery, Bumpus Mills.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Tharpe, TN, the son of Wilson and Mattie Galusha Knight.  He was a retired farmer and retired from the Stewart County Highway Dept.

He is preceded in death by several sisters, brothers, and a grandson, Kenneth Kingins.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and Charles Kingins, Bumpus Mills; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Becky Knight, Big Rock; grandchildren, Jason and Gracie Knight and Melanie and Adam Collins; a great-grandson, Caleb James Knight; brother, Barney Knight, Paris, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jack Brandon, Buddy Wallace, Bobby Gillum, Hershel Knight, Jason Knight and Adam Collins.
