Mrs. Robert F. Kabrick, of 929 Oakhurst Ln., died
early today in Jane Lamb hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday in First Congregational church, with Rev. Harold Putney officiating.
Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tom Petersen, Lyle
Bossen, John F. Ward, James M. Byrns, Robert Milligan and Albert M. Potter.
Organist will be Mrs. John Harden. Friends may call in the Snell-Smith funeral
home from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Wava Shelmidine was born in Spencer, the daughter of David and Mae Galusha
Shelmidine. She attended Spencer public schools and was graduated from the
University of Puget Sound, Wash. She was married to Robert F. Kabrick, June 17,
1938, in Nashua. The couple moved to Clinton from Mason City in 1955. She was
vice-president of the Alphadelphian literary society. She was a member of First
Congregational church, PEO, Agatha circle, Clinton country club and Daughters of
the American Colonists.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Candice) Utroska of
Philadelphia; five sisters, Mrs. M.A. (Zella) Swanson of Spencer, Mrs. H.W.
(Helen) Koeneke of Mason City, Miss Allie Mae Shelmidine and Mrs. Barbara
Heathcote of LaGrange Park, Ill., and Mrs. Vernon (Leone) Lamb of Garrett Park,
Md.; and two brothers, Don E. of Phoenix, Ariz., and John S. of Spencer. Her
parents and one brother preceded her in death.
