Everett Russell Joseph, son of the late Edgar Joseph and Lula Allstun Joseph, was born on Feb. 13, 1922, in Stoddard County and died in the Cypress Point Health Care at Dexter on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at the age of 84.

Mr. Joseph was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, a retired farmer, a veteran of the United States Air Forces serving in World War II, and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Lottie Welker on Jan. 26, 1946, at Dexter.

He was the loving husband of Lottie (Welker) Joseph of the home in Dexter; dear father of Janet (Jim) Pride of Riley, Kan., Linda (Larry) Nichols of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Cheryl (Mike) Lane of St. Louis; grandfather of Robin, Doug (Robin), Eric (Jennifer), Summer, Brad, Crystal (Brian), and Justin; great-grandfather of Drew, Shelby, Devin and Tiara; also survived by sisters-in-law, Sue Mitchell and Kathy Mosier.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Dennis Joseph; one grandson, Brian Joseph; four brothers, Brown, William, Walter and John; and three sisters, Maudie Rowe, Mabel Francis and Lorene Soucie.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, from 10 a.m. - noon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hite and Rev. Josh Carpenter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with full military honors.
