San Diego, Calif. -- Services for Velma Flora "Boe" Jennings, 94, San Diego,
Calif., formerly of Tupelo, Okla., are 2 p.m. Friday at Tupelo Baptist Church,
the Revs. Tony Randol and Claudie Alford will officiate. Burial will follow at
Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Coal County, Okla.
Mrs. Jennings died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 19,
1915, at Tupelo to William M. and Mattie Lewis Bullard. She attended Eubanks
school in Coal County. Mrs. Jennings lived in California for 44 years and was a
homemaker and a member of Tupelo Baptist Church. She married Elmer Jennings on
March 13, 1932, in Lula, Okla. He died in October 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette MacDougall, Tupelo; two sons, Steve
Jennings and wife Caroline, St. George, Utah, and Danny Jennings, San Diego,
Calif.; seven grandchildren, Bryan MacDougall and wife Angie, Glenpool, Okla.,
Michelle Keith, Tulare, Calif., Bonnie Blair and husband Randall, Harrison,
Ark., Bobbie Cadwallader, Tupelo, Masao Jennings and wife Rafaela, San Diego,
Calif., Steven Jennings Jr. and wife Angie, St. George, Utah, and Stefani
McKenzi, St. George, Utah; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Charles O'Dell
"Billy" Jennings in 1946 and a daughter, Velma Ruth Jennings.
Bearers will be Bryan MacDougall, Bryan C. MacDougall, Randall Blair, Maseo
Jennings, Steve Jennings Jr., and Laramie Adams.
