Cecil G. Jackson, 78, Dover, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Trinity Hospital, Dover.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Anglin Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jerry Moore and Truman Miller officiating. Burial will be in Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m today and from 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

He was born April 25, 1926, in Tharpe, son of Theo and Jeannetta Knight Jackson.  Mr. Jackson was retired from Stewart County Highway Department. He was a Pentecostal.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Compton Jackson, Dover; a son, Junior Jackson, Dover; a brother, Frank Jackson, Dover; three sisters, Elizabeth Barrow, Lucille Fitzhugh and Christine Futrell, all of Dover; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Randy Compton, Joe Reeves, Ray White, Danny Adams, Bronson Scarborough, Franklin Jackson, Daniel Lovell and Barney Crockarell.
