Roger C. Huggins, 63, 617 North Water, Olathe, died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.

Born Nov. 11, 1918, at Olathe, he had been a life-long resident of Olathe. He had worked as a carpenter for Montgomery Wards for nine years before his retirement in March 1981. Her served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Huggins, of the home; four sons, Roger Huggins Jr., Edgerton, and James Huggins, Richard Huggins, and Roy Huggins all of Olathe; two daughters, Mrs. Patty Livezey, Olathe, and Mrs. Sharon Linder, Paola; his mother, Mrs. Frances May Huggins, Olathe; two brothers, Richard Huggins and Roy Huggins, both of Olathe; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hulse, Olathe, and Mrs. Doris Weatherford, Stanley; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7-8 tonight at the W. L. Frye and Son Funeral home, Olathe. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Olathe Cemetery.
