Funeral services for Otto Ebert Hopkins, 55, 1805 Park, who died Saturday afternoon, are to be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bryant-Fryberger chapel. The Rev. Robert K. Foster will officiate and burial will be in the veteran's circle at the Great Bend cemetery.
Hopkins, a resident of Great Bend for the past 44 years, suffered a heart attack Saturday morning while at work at the Scheufler Supply Co. He was taken to St. Rose hospital and appeared to be improving at noon, but suffered a relapse and died during the afternoon.
He was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and the Great Bend volunteer fire department. He served in the army in World War I.
Hopkins is survived by a step-son, Charles Dawson, Great Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. George (Etta) Hoffmaster, Great Bend, and Mrs. George (Clara) Dunn, Wichita as well as several nieces and nephews.
