OBITUARY

Clarence B. Hollenbeck, aged 70 years, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1953 in the Robert Packer Hospital at Sayre, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.

He was born in Hornell, N.Y., the son of James and Julia Carpenter Hollenbeck.

For the past 25 years, he had been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways as a power equipment operator.

Surviving are his wife, Nettie Backus Hollenbeck; sons, Ernest of Clarion, Pa., LaVerne of Richmond, Va., Charles of Wellsboro and Ralph of Elmira, N.Y.; daughters Mrs. Ivan Luther and Mrs. Franklin Gregory, both of Wellsboro; a brother, Ernest Hollenbeck of Corning; a sister, Mrs. Henry Keck of Wellsboro, and 23 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, the Rev. Alfred Gross, officiating.  Burial was in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
