Wilma G. Hoch, 78, of Chico died June 24, 2007, at Enloe Medical Center in
Chico.
Born in Marysville, she was a longtime Yuba-Sutter resident before leaving the
area in 1998.
A homemaker and a self-employed bookkeeper, she also worked seasonally for H&R
Block and was a tutor at Yuba College. A 1947 graduate of Yuba City High School,
she worked in civil service at Camp Beale.
She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church since 1976 and previously
was a leader in the Girl Scouts, Bluebirds and 4-H; a driver for the American
Cancer Society; and member of Pocahontas, Grange, Royal Neighbors and Native
Daughters of the Golden West.
Survivors include her husband, Edward R. Hoch of Chico; a daughter, Sandra Perez
of Chico; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leland Edmund Sands Jr.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Voice of Prophecy
through the Seventh-day Adventist Church on Richland Road in Yuba City.
Services: A graveside service is at 10 a.m. July 13 at Sutter Cemetery,
7200 Butte Ave., Sutter, followed by a potluck at the Sutter Youth Organization
building. Arrangements were under the direction of Oroville Funeral Home
in Oroville.
