Lamoine F. Hill, 87, of Norris City, passed away at 6:19 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

He was born Feb. 11, 1924 in Norris City, the son of Daniel Powell and Myrtle Alene (Garrison) Hill.  Lamoine had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield school district. He was a member of Norris City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are numerous cousins, including Robylee Gott of Carmi, and close friends, Frank and Vera Blackman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Garrison.

Graveside memorial services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City, with Mike Fields officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Norris City Cumberland Presbyterian Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, which is in charge of arrangements.
