 BLOOMFIELD - Wilma "Kate" Hester, 93, died Oct. 12, 2004, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Sept. 27, 1911, in Idalia, daughter of the late W. M. "Bill" and Birdie Kirby Robinson, she had lived most of her life in the Idalia and Bloomfield communities. She had attended the Idalia General Baptist Church.

On Sept. 8, 1928, at Idalia, she married Riley Eli Hester who preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1979.

Survivors include: four sons, William Rudolph Hester of O'Fallon, Dalton Hester of Van Cleave, Miss., Riley Dale Hester of Security, Colo., and Garry Gail Hester of Poplar Bluff; five daughters, Ruth Cozette Williamson of Essex, Betty Lee Long of Idalia, Jacqueline Eaves of Bernie, Janice Elaine Midgett of Dexter, and Bonnie Kay Lefler of Ste. Genevieve; one brother, Louis "Mose" Robinson of Bloomfield; two sisters, Mildred Harris of Belleville, Ill., and Erma Lee Bailey of Hollywood, Fla.; and 32 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one son, James V. Hester, on June 27, 1975; and one daughter, Donna Faye Hester, on June 18, 1946.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
