Gail Endicott Hendrix, age 74 of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away from Cancer on Thursday afternoon June 3, 2010 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 21, 1935 in White County, IL the daughter of Fred Cletus and Gertrude Marie (Phipps) Endicott.

Gail had been a vice president and branch manager at Permanent Federal in Evansville for 42 years retiring in 1997. She was a past member and had served as secretary of the Evansville Kiwanis Club. She was a 1953 graduate of Reitz High School and a 1955 graduate of Lockyear Business College.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Mark Nelligan of Mt. Vernon; one son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Kay Gordon of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Ann and Jeremy Weiner, Benjamin Gordon, Sarah Gordon, Amy and Josh Foor, Katelyn Nelligan, Michael Nelligan and Gerald Gordon; one great-grandson, Nathan; one sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Howard Haley of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday June 6, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St. Mt. Vernon with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to the Posey County Humane Society
