Mrs. George L, Hathaway, 71, resident of the Mechanicville area for the last 40
years, died Monday at her home, 28 Hemstreet Ave., Hemstreet Park, after a long
illness.
She was the former
Addie L. Germain, of Fort Miller and daughter of the late Boney and Allie
Germain.
Mrs. Hathaway was a member of the First Methodist Church of Mechanicville, the
WSCS, the XYZ Club and the Fellowship Club of that church.
Surviving are her husband, a son, Raymond H.
Hathaway, Mechanicville; a grandson, Barry R. Hathaway, Mechanicville; three
brothers, Christie Germain, Saratoga Springs, Polie Germain of Schuylerville and Henry Germain, Greenwich;
four sisters, Mrs. Rose Griffin of Quaker Springs, Mrs. Merritt Wolfe of Bacon Hill; Mrs. Floyd Rightman [sic] of Quaker Springs,
and Mrs. Elmer Wilson of Schuylerville. Also
surviving are several nieces and nephews.The funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p.m.
from the Dunn Funeral Home, 319 Park Ave., Mechanicville. Rev. Frank J.
Reid, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will
be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville.
