OBITUARY

Name:     Ira Harold Hart

Tennyson resident, Ira Harold Hart died Wednesday, Sept. 19 at St. Mary's Warrick Hospital in Boonville.  He was 82.

He was a member of the Mt. Olive General Baptist Church in Heilman and attended the Bethel Christian Church in Reo.  He worked for Sunlight Coal Co. and worked as a construction worker and retired in 1984 from Alcoa and farmed in Warrick County.

He exhibited tractors at the Antique Tractor and Steam Engine Shows in Boonville.  He was a WW II U.S. Army veteran European Theatre.  He was a member of the Gentryville Masonic F & A M Lodge #424 and member of the Boonville VFW Post 3418.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey L. Hart in 1994.

He is survived by a caregiver, June Lamar; two sons, Dana and Tom Hart, both of Tennyson; four grandchildren, John, Diane, Robert and Eli Hart; and two great-grandchildren, Whitney and Tyler Hart.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 22 at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, the Rev. Walter Phillips officiated with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Military rites were performed by Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services.
