Name:   Lena Ruth (Bouplon) Harrington

Mrs. Lena (Bouplon) Harrington, 84, widow of Ernest R. Harrington, a resident of 1059 East Main St., died Tuesday night at Putnam Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Shaftsbury Dec. 22, 1886, her parents were James and Minnie (Lyon) Bouplon. Her education was received in Shaftsbury schools.  She was married to Mr. Harrington in Hoosick Falls on May 12, 1907.  Mr. Harrington died in 1951.

For a number of years, Mrs. Harrington was employed at the H. E. Bradford Co. plant.  She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are four daughters,. Mrs. Lynn (Clara) Harrington Sr. of Bennington, Mrs. Donald (Edith) O'Brien of Bayside N.Y., Mrs. Ulysses (Marion) Daigneault and Mrs. Truman (Dorothy) Busbee, both of Bennington; one son, Reuben A. Harrington of Bennington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Walter (Marcia) Ryan of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held at Mahar & Son Funeral Home Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Melvin R. McGaughey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are tonight from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
