NORRIS CITY - An 84-year-old resident of Norris City, Ray K. Harper, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 1998 at his home.   He was born June 28, 1914 in Broughton, the son of Jessie B. and Clara (Keasler) Harper.  He married June Cox on Sept. 13, 1936 and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sue Ann Armstrong of Crossville; one son, Gerald Ray Harper of Norris City; one sister, Louise Storey of Enfield; four grandchildren, Angela Rae Koons, James Gregory Armstrong, Timothy Ray Armstrong, and Jay Patrick Armstrong,; and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Sue Armstrong.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, 1998 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with the Rev. Bob Shook and the Rev. Mike Michaels officiating.  Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City.

Memorial gifts may be made to the VNA Hospice or the Shiloh Methodist Church where Mr. Harper was a member.
