NORRIS CITY - Gerald Ray
Harper, 69, Norris City, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 at his
home.
He was born Oct. 20, 1937 in Mayberry Township, Hamilton County, the son of Ray
Keasler and Reba June (Cox) Harper. He married Joyce Ann Hirst March 30, 1961.
Mr. Harper was a farmer, a certified public water works operator and superintendent of the Norris City Water Department and Sanitary District. He was a member of the Indian Creek Township Cemetery Board, the Farm Bureau and Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Joyce Harper of Norris City; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela Rae Harper-Sperry and Robert Sperry of Evansville, Ind.; his mother, Reba June Harper of Norris City; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sue Ann and James F. Armstrong of Crossville.
Funeral services will be held
at 2 p.m. Sunday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, Chaplain Brad Garner
and Bonnie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Norris
City, with military graveside services conducted by members of American Legion
Post 109. Friends may call from noon Sunday until the service time at the
funeral home.
