Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Van Tassel Community Funeral Home for Mrs. Ella C. Foljambe Hardy, widow of George R. Hardy and mother of Mrs. Lloyd Blunden of the staff of the Bloomfield Public Library. Mrs. Hardy died last Friday, after a long illness.

The Rev. Dr. John Pitts, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, conducted the funeral services, and burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, Mass.

Mrs. Hardy, who would have been 90 years old, had she lived until December, was born in Dayton, Ohio, and spent most of her life in Boston, Mass., where her father was a pastor of a large Baptist Church. She was among the founders of the Y.W.C.A., and was active in church work throughout her life. She traveled extensively. She came to this section about 10 years age, and made her home with Mrs. Blunden. Recently she had been in the Parkview Nursing Home. She was a member of the Old
First Church here and its Women's Guild.

Besides Mrs. Blunden, she leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Fred L. Vandeveer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Lauren A. Kennedy of Duluth, Minn.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Miss Vida Blunden, prominent local dancing teacher, is one of her grandchildren."
