WELLSVILLE -- Francis (Pete) Harder, 81, of 129 Early St., died Wednesday (Feb. 29, 1984) in Jones Memorial Hospital.

Born June 6, 1902 in Alma, he was a son of Will and Frances B. Galutia Harder.  On Feb 21, 1926 in Buffalo, he Married the former D. Irene Rennells, who survives.

A lifelong resident of the Wellsville area, Mr. Harder had been employed from 1927 to 1967 by Empire Fuel & Gas Company Ltd., and National Fuel in Wellsville, retiring as manager of the Wellsville district.

He was a former member of Wellsville Exchange Club.

Surviving besides his widow, are a son, William F. Harder of Wellsville; three grandsons; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Dewey (Pearl) Pinney of Alma, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, Wellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Friday (March 2, 1984) at 11 a.m.  The Rev. Jack Eastlack of Wellsville will officiate.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
