Lorna H. Haag, 84, of Greeley died Saturday, Aug. 20, at her home.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1921, in Garden Plain, Ill., to Artamus and Nellie (Galusha) Snyder.

Mrs. Haag received an academic scholarship from the University of Illinois, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. At college, she met her future husband, Ralph F. Haag. They were married June 19, 1943.

She first taught in a coal mining community in Illinois. She taught English and literature for most of her teaching career in Palos Hills, Ill. She and her husband attended Palos Park Presbyterian Church.

She loved her flowers, sharing memories of her life as a child, her children and her world travels with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph F. Haag of Greeley; two daughters, Linda J. Haag of Springfield, Mo., and Rhonda L. Haag of Laramie, Wyo.; three sons, Randall F. Haag and Roger W. Haag, both of Greeley, and Ronald W. Haag of Roy, Utah; two grandchildren, Christina Whitaker of Springfield and Aubrey Wooldridge of Denver; a great-granddaughter, Elspeth Wooldridge; a sister, Juineta Sissing of Fulton, Ill., and two brothers, Joseph Snyder and Wells Snyder, both of Garden Plain. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beulah Vanderschaft, and a brother, Donovan Snyder.


Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army Church, 1119 6th St., Greeley. Friends are invited for a gathering at the Haag family home, 4505 W. 21st St. Drive, Greeley, immediately after the services.
