Mrs. Rose Griffen, 85, of Quaker Springs, died Wednesday at Bullion Infirmary, Schuylerville, after a long illness.  Mrs. Griffen was born at Fort Miller and had resided in Quaker Springs most of her life.  She was a member of the Quaker Springs Methodist Church.  She was the widow of Seth Griffen.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edmund Plummer of Quaker Springs and Mrs. Hollis Wilson of Ballston Spa; two sons, Herbert Griffen of Quaker Springs and William Griffen of Ballston Spa; three sisters, Mrs. Merritt Wolfe of Bacon Hill, Mrs. Floyd Wrightman of Quaker Springs and Mrs. Elmer Wilson of Schuylerville; three brothers, Christie Germain of Saratoga Springs, Polie Germain of Schuylerville and Henry Germain of Greenwich; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the J. T. Still Funeral Home, Broad Street, Schuylerville, where Rev. Frank B. Brandon, pastor of the Quaker Springs Methodist Church, will officiate.  Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Quaker Springs.
