Funeral services for Christie E. Germain, 81, of West Avenue, Saratoga Springs, who died Saturday, were held yesterday at the Kark & Tunison Funeral Home with Rev. Rollin I. Tingley, pastor of the First Baptist, officiating.  Interment was in Greenwich Cemetery.

A retired businessman, Mr. Germain was the proprietor of the G. L. F. store on Walworth Street, and later sold farm equipment before his retirement.  He was a native of Fort Miller who moved to Saratoga Springs 42 years ago.  He was a leader in both grange and church.

He was a life deacon of the First Baptist Church and was a member of Wilton Grange and past deputy of Pomona Grange.  He belonged to St. John's Lodge F.&A.M. and was past district grand lecturer of St. John's Order of Eastern Star.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Alton Wager of Saratoga Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Wolfe of Bacon Hill, Mrs. Anna Wrightman of Quaker Springs, and Mrs. Amy Wilson of Schuylerville; and two brothers, Polie Germain of Victory Mills and Henry Germain of Greenwich.
