OBITUARY

Name:   Edna M. (Carpenter) Gee

From:  The Wellsboro Gazette, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania
Date:  Thursday, February 7, 1924

Death is always a most unwelcome visitor, but when it takes from our midst the young who are just starting on the duties, responsibilities and pleasures of life, surrounded by a host of friends and relatives, it seems to have more than its full measure of sting. Such are the facts in the life and death of Edna, wife of Ralph Gee, who died after five days illness of pneumonia, on Feb. 3, aged 25 years.

She was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Edward Carpenter, of Chatham township, and was married to Ralph, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Gee, of Middlebury. To them was born one son, Master Robert Gee. Last spring the family removed to Wellsboro where they occupied an apartment in rooms over the A. C. Close & Son store where Mrs. Gee passed away.

She leaves, besides her husband and son, her father and mother, two brothers, Valoris Carpenter, of Endicott and Paul, of Corning; two sisters, Theresa, wife of Lyle Ferris, Phyllis, at Shortsville. The funeral is to be held at 1 p.m. today; interment in the Keeneyville cemetery.
