DIED--GARTHWAIT--Mrs. Clarenda Crandall Garthwait died at the home of her son in
the town of Easton on Thursday, December 17, 1903.
Clarenda Crandall was born in Alfred, Alleghany County, New York, May 8th, 1822,
and was married to Jacob Garthwait February 17, 1837. Of this union eleven
children were born, five of whom with her husband preceded her to the better
World. She is survived by four sons and two daughters.
Funeral services were held at the Schoonover schoolhouse, Saturday afternoon,
the Rev. A. H. Smith officiating, using for his text words found in Rev. 21-4.
After which we laid her to rest to await the blessed morning when the Master
shall call for his own.
