WEAVERVILLE -- Richard "Dick" Garrison, 82, of 211 North Main Street died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997.

Mr. Garrison was born Sept. 27, 1914, in Buncombe County and had been a resident of Weaverville most of his life.  He formerly resided in Michigan and California.  "Dick" retired from Clark Equipment Co. in 1979.  He was the son of the late Fred W. and Pearl Keith Garrison.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Lemieux Garrison; daughters, Betty Jane Sebring of Flagstaff, Ariz., Rita P. Myers of South Haven, Mich.; sons, Richard W. Garrison of San Jose, Calif., Michael L. Garrison of Sacramento, Calif., Mark Garrison of Gardnerville, Nev., Robert Garrison of Hickory; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Halbert W. Garrison of Weaverville.
