Barnardsville - Michael Stephen Garrison, 34, of 325 Dillingham Road, died Sunday, June 3, 2007.

Steve was born Oct. 12, 1972, in Buncombe County, where he had lived all of his life. He was a 1990 graduate of North Buncombe High School, a graduate of A-B Tech and attended UNC Asheville. He was employed at RC Bottling Co. for seven years as vending department manager. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are his parents, Jack and Gloria Reynolds Garrison, of Barnardsville; brothers, David Scott Garrison, of Barnardsville, and Kevin Douglas Garrison and wife, Mandy Kelley Garrison, of Weaverville; niece, Emilie James; nephew, Braxton Garrison.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Morgan Hill Baptist Church, of which he was a member, with the Revs. Kevin Garner and Gayle Brown officiating.

Burial will be in Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Morrow, Anthony Angelo, Barry Jarrett, Eric Haynes, John Freeman and Rodney Payne.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at West Funeral Home 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the services.

At other times the family will be at the residence.
