The spirit of Mary Elizabeth Garrison departed its earthly tabernacle Sunday night, April 15, 1934, from her home in Urich, Mo. She had been in frail health from kidney trouble and complications for about a year. On Tuesday before her death she became critically ill and suffered intensely until the summons came. All her children were with her during the last few days.

Mrs. Garrison's maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Willing. She was born near Morristown Tennessee, April 4, 1862. She was united in marriage to Robert A. Garrison, Oct. 24, 1888, after which they came to Missouri and she has been a resident of this state ever since. For a number of years she resided in the Huntingdale neighborhood. Four children blessed this union, two daughters and two sons. She was also a real mother to the four children of the husband by a previous marriage. Her husband preceded her in death fourteen years ago.

She leaves to grieve for her, three children, Mrs. Geo. Ridge of near Archie, Mo.; Mrs. Homer Immer, north of Clinton, Mo. and Harry Garrison of Kansas City, Mo. One son, David, died in camp during the World War. She also leaves three step-children - Mrs. Omer McIntire of Norris, Mo., Bob Garrison near Huntingdale, Mo., and Joe Garrison, near the home in Urich, Mo. One step-son, Charley Garrison, died several years ago. There are thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A brother, Coughy Willing, of Florida, and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Jones, of West Virginia, also survive.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday. The body was taken to the Paul cemetery, near Huntingdale, Mo, for burial. Grandsons acted as pall bearers and were: Bob McIntire, Leo and Jake Immer, Clyde Palmer, Jim Hargrave and Harold Jordon. The flower girls, granddaughters, were: Miss Virginia Ridge, Mrs. Jim Hargrave, Mrs. Clyde Palmer, and Mrs. Harold Jordon.
