Mary A. Garrison, 72, of Morton, died June 23, 2000, at Morton Terrace LTD, in Morton.  She was born on Dec. 2, 1926, the daughter of Houston and Gladys Vick Stonecipher of Alexander County.  She married Joseph F. Garrison on Dec. 28, 1945 in Mt. Vernon.  He died on Aug. 26, 1987.

She is survived by one son, Dean Garrison of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter, Shirley (Keith) Million of Morton; three sisters, Margaret (Donald) Wilson; Jessie (Herman) Sowers; and Lillie (Wayne) Braswell; 1 aunt, Mary (Forest) Brown.  She was preceded in death by parents; 1 sister, Henrietta Cook; and 1 great-grandson, Vincent Malone.

Burial was in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
