Jimmie Eldon Garrison, 74 of Monahans, Texas, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at the
Hospice In-patient facility in Midland, Texas. He was born Dec. 23, 1932, in the
home of the Old Pierson Place farm, City of Corinth, Denton County, Texas, to
Ruben and Virgie Garrison.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by El Paso
Natural Gas Company and retired after 42 years of service.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 16, at the DeBerry
Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Drive, in Denton, Texas.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, in the chapel of DeBerry
Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Norred, Dylan Garrison, Sam Garrison, Harold Graves,
T. J. Garrison, Kevin Freeman and Ricky Garrison.
He is survived by his children: daughters, Nancy Freeman and Sheryl Norred, of
Midland, Texas; sons, Eldon Garrison, of Aztec, and Keith Garrison, of Shamrock,
Texas; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; all nine brothers and sisters; and
granddaughter, Cindy.
