PEKIN -- Harry Gale Garrison, 63, of 2220 State St. died at 3 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was a former resident of Washington for many years.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Mason-White Funeral Home, Washington Chapel. Graveside services will follow immediately in Glendale Cemetery in Washington with the Rev. Paul Myers officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harry Garrison Fund in care of BankPlus in Washington.

He was born March 25, 1941, in Peoria to Belzic and Clara Keller Garrison. He married Guyneith Woodcock Aug. 8, 1970, in Decatur. She died Aug. 1, 1999, in Peoria.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are three sons, Danny (Paula) Garrison and Belayne Garrison, both of Washington, and Kevin Garrison of Mackinaw; one daughter, Carla (Gary) Burroughs of Longmont, Colo.; one sister, Karen (Jack) Allen of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Garrison was a member of Teamsters Local 627 in Peoria and was a semi-driver for more than 35 years. He had driven for Melvins Trucking, Jones Motor Co., Interstate Baking and others prior to his retirement in 1993.

He was a former member of Morton Bible Church, First Baptist Church in Washington and Liberty Baptist Church in Pekin.
