Funeral services for Grover C. Garrison, 73, of 1609 Houghton, a retired city detective, will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday in the McKamy-Ingram-Batchler Funeral Chapel, 1921 Forest, with the Rev. L. B. Jenkins and the Rev. C. B. Hastings officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.

Garrison died in a Dallas hospital Thursday after a long illness.

A native of Georgia, he had lived in Dallas since 1910, joining the police department in 1912. He retired in 1932, and had been a house officer at the Baker Hotel since that time.

His memberships include the Retired Police and Firemen's Association and the First Baptist Church at Pleasant Grove.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Pat Garrison of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Babetta Wood of Dallas; three brothers, Dee Garrison and Clifford Garrison, both of Dallas, and Howard Garrison of Bayfield, Colorado; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Price of Rome, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Decker, Henry Wade, Tom Smith, Capt. Will Fritz, John Hendricks, and J. R. Higgins.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Retired Police and Firemen's Association.
