Within a few minutes after the death of his wife, the Rev. G. C. Garrison, 87, retired Baptist minister and Confederate veteran, died Saturday afternoon at the home of a son.

Mrs. Garrison, 80, died Wednesday night in the same house.

During his active years the Rev. Mr. Garrison preached from many pulpits in Texas and other Southern States. He had been a resident of Dallas for thirty years, during which time he has been active in work of the United Confederate Veterans. He was commander of Dallas Camp, U.C.V.

He is survived by four sons, D. C. Garrison, former police sergeant at whose home he died, Grover C. Garrison of the city detective department, H. C. Garrison of Dexter, New Mexico, and F. C. Garrison of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Will Fowler of Summerville, La.; and ten grandchldren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Monday at the Ed C. Smith & Bros. chapel, St. Paul at Ross. He will be buried beside his wife in Restland Memorial Park.
