Estel Garrison, 86, died at 12:40 am Thursday, Sept. 16, 1993 at her home.

She was a member of North Williford Baptist Church of Dorris Heights, where she served as church clerk for 25 years. She also served as church pianist.

She was born June 10, 1907 in Williamson County to Otis Milo & Sarah Isabell (Tanner) Turner. She married Emery Ray Garrison Dec. 25, 1925.

She was preceded in death by her husband Emery Ray, Nov. 25, 1982, son Donald Ray Garrison of Waukegan, IL, .July 8, 1981. Granddaughter, Judith Ann Garrison 1957, great-grandson David Philip Lamar 1972.

Survivors include two sons, William Lee (Sarah) Garrison of Burlington, KY, and Noel Dean Garrison of Chicago; 6 daughters, Syble Maxine (Charles) Lamar of Carrier Mills, IL, Coleta Mae (Arkie) Wingo of Waukegan, IL, Carolyn Sue Peters of Dallas, TX., Anna Belle (Ben) McCormick, Opal Helen (Leonard) Baird of Waukegan, Brenda Kay Winters of Paducah, KY. Two brothers, Elles Edward Turner of Johnson City, IL and William Carl (Grace) Turner of Marion, IL; Sister, Helen Amanda (Raymond) Poole of Johnson City, IL. 22 Grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday Sept. 19, at Gaskins Funeral Home, with Dr. Bill Tomberlin officiating. Burial will be in Coal Bank Springs Cemetery in Williamson County, Il. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
