Services for Arthur Marion Garrison, 59, of 135 Louisiana Ave., West Asheville, who died Saturday, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home.  The Rev. Dayle G. Groh will officiate.  Burial will be in West Memorial Park, Weaverville.

A Lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Henry Clay and Betty Roberts Garrison and was raised from infancy by an aunt and uncle, the late Jeff Garrison and Miss Anna Laura Garrison.

He was a master sergeant with the US Marine Corps and served in the South Pacific and was a veteran of World War II.  He was a retired electrician with American Enka Co. where he was employed for 29 years.  He was also a member of the Weaverville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Daniel Frank Hyatt V.F.W. Post 891.

He is survived by the wife, Helen Penland Garrison; a son, William A. Garrison of Orlando, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen G Follett of Westminster, Md., and Mrs. Dorothy McCurry of Candler.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
