BARCLAY -- Mrs. Vera F. Galutia, 72, died Saturday in an Emporia hospital.  She had been ill two years.

She was born March 5, 1897, at Foster, Mo., and spent most of her life in the Barclay community southwest of Osage City.  Mrs. Galutia operated the grocery store at Barclay before she retired about two years ago.  She was a member of the Friends Church and the Grange, both at Barclay.

She was married to Carl Galutia Aug. 20, 1913 at Barclay.  He died Oct. 22, 1964.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Galutia, Golden, Colo., and Henry Galutia, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Henry Linsey, Route 1, Osage City; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Evans, Reading, and Mrs. Sarah Calkins, Melvern; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Barclay Friends Church.  Burial will be in Barclay Cemetery.  Jones Funeral Home, Lebo, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vera F. Galutia, 72, died Saturday in an Emporia hospital.  She had been ill two years.

She was born March 5, 1897, at Foster, Mo., and spent most of her life in the Barclay community southwest of Osage City.  Mrs. Galutia operated the grocery store at Barclay before she retired about two years ago.  She was a member of the Friends Church and the Grange, both at Barclay.

She was married to Carl Galutia Aug. 20, 1913 at Barclay.  He died Oct. 22, 1964.  To this union five children were born, three of whom preceded her in death.  Twin sons died at birth and Mildred Frances died in 1963.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Galutia, Golden, Colo., and Henry Galutia, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Henry Linsey, Route 1, Osage City; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Evans, Reading, and Mrs. Sarah Calkins, Melvern; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  A sister, Bertha, and four brothers, Carl, Raymond, Amos and Clarence preceded her in death.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Barclay Friends Church.  Rev. Jesse Drinen conducted the services.  Ellis Swarts sang, accompanied by Mrs. Charles McSpannen.  Casketbearers were Harry Bryan, Everett Craft, Paul Trueblood, Owen Griffith, George Buck and Jerry Christiason.  Burial was in the Barclay Cemetery.

Relatives attending from out of town were:  Mr. and Mrs. Cody Henderson and family, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Galutia, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Galutia, Mabel Proel, Susie Galutia, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Robert T. Galutia, Golden, Colorado.; Fay Linsey, May Holdner, Cheryl Carney, Kansas City, Missouri; Gladys Evans, Reading; Mr. and Mrs. Amos Evans, Tecumseh; Mr. and Mrs. David Parre, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Linsey, Osage City; Dean Linsey, Silver Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cramer, Melvern; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Linsey, Mrs. Laura Linsey, Lebo; Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Galutia, Waverly.
