WAVERLY -- Mrs. Maynard A. Galutia, 80, of Route 3, Waverly, died Jan. 9, 1993, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.  Mrs. Galutia was a homemaker.

Maud D. Taber, the daughter of Frank and Clara Hooper Taber, was born June 6, 1912, at Reading.  She married Maynard A. Galutia May 15, 1930 at Emporia.  He died Jan 29, 1991.

Mrs. Galutia was a member of the United Methodist Church and the 3-M Club in Waverly.

She is survived by a daughter, Lois F. Johnson of Emporia; brothers, Edwin Taber and Virgil Taber of Allen; two grandsons, R. E. Johnson and Jerry Johnson of Emporia; and a great-granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson of Emporia. A sister, Ora Vaughn, and a brother, Vadia Taber, died earlier.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Waverly United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Rick Souter will conduct the services.  Burial will be in American Cemetery at Osage City.  Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Waverly.  Memorial contributions to the Heart Fund may be sent to the funeral home.

WAVERLY -- Maud D. Galutia, 80, of Route 2, Waverly, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1993, at an Emporia nursing home.

She was born June 6, 1912, in Reading, the daughter of Frank and Clara Hooper Taber.  She was married to Maynard A. Galutia May 15, 1930, in Emporia.  He died Jan 29, 1991.

Mrs. Galutia was a member of the United Methodist Church and the 3-M Club in Waverly.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois F. Johnson, Emporia; two brothers, Edwin Taber and Virgil Taber, both of Allen; two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
