Mrs. Jennie M. Galutia, a former resident of Eldred, died Wednesday afternoon in Bethesda Hospital, Hornell, where she had been a patient since Monday when she fell and fractured her hip.  She was 88 years old.

She celebrated her 88th birthday last August.  Born at Grove, New York, she later resided at Eldred until two years ago when she went to Hornell to reside with her son, Paul.  She was the widow of Alfred Galutia who died several years ago.

She was a member of the Park Methodist Church, Hornell, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Hornell Post.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John Higgins of Eldred, and one son, Paul of Hornell, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren, also one brother, Ray Blower, of Hornell.

The body was removed to the Crandall Funeral Home of Hornell where services will be held Saturday morning.  The body will then be brought to Eldred where services will be held in the Methodist Church at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Glenn Bucher will officiate at services in Hornell.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Eldred.
