OBITUARY

Name:   George Edmond Galutia

George E. Galutia, native of Scio, Allegany County but a resident of this community for the past 15 years, died Thursday morning.  He was 74 years old.

Before coming to Bath, Mr. Galutia was for many years engaged in the lumbering business in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia where his services were in wide demand in setting up and operating large sawmills.

Surviving are his widow, the former, Edith Sweet, a daughter, Mrs. Leslie Parker of Sabinsville, Pa., a son, Carl, of bath; another son, Max Galutia of Auburn; and a sister, Mrs. Elmer Hennion, in Montana.  Another son, Norris, a victim of shell-shock in the World War, died a number of years ago.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the family home, corner of Robie and Main streets, under the direction of the First Church of Christ Scientist.  Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery.
