Thomas
Leroy Galusha, a native of St. Helena, died on May 19, 1997. He was 59.
Mr. Galusha was born on March 9, 1938. He was reared and educated in St. Helena,
and after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy.
He was a member of the Fighter Squadron Forty-three and served at the U.S. Naval
Air Station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. While in the Navy, he served on the U.S.S.
Randolph, U.S.S. Tarawa, U.S.S. Wasp, U.S.S. Champlain, and the U.S.S. Bon Homme
Richard. He also served in Vietnam. After his service in the Navy, Mr. Galusha
lived on the East Coast before returning to Napa County in 1967.
Mr. Galusha is survived by his wife, Norma Galusha of Napa; his daughter,
Barbara Jackson of Napa; his sons, Michael Casey of Mill Valley, Walter Mairs of
Napa, and Scott Seeley of Tacoma, Wash.; his sisters, Ginny Waldon of Napa,
Louise Waldon of Middletown, and Rita Waldon of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and five
grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. No visitation is
planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Richard Pierce Funeral Service
in Napa.
