GIBSON -- Richard W. Galusha, 70, of Main Street, Gibson, died Wednesday, January 16, 2001 [sic] at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.

He was born January 13, 1932 in Blossburg, the son of the late Edwin and Laura (Vinson) Galusha. He and Joyce (Lanager) were married May 20, 1952 in Corning.

Richard was a veteran serving from 1951-1954 in the U.S. Army Airborne.  He retired as a general foreman from DOT.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, VFW Post 524, the American Legion, and was an avid fisherman and bowler.  His bowling talents placed his name in the bowling hall of fame.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Galusha of Corning; son, Richard L. (Dawn) Galusha of Painted Post; brother William Galusha of Mansfield, PA; and grandson Jason Galusha.

Friends may call at the Acly-Stover Funeral Home of Friday, January 18, 2001 [sic] from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Funeral services will follow calling hours at 8 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Becker officiating.  Interment will be in Chapel Knoll Cemetery, Coopers Plains, NY.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the charity of one's choice.
