Rena Galusha, 94, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Willow Point Nursing Home.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Murray of Binghamton; one son, Paul Galusha and wife, Brenda, West Tawakoni, Texas. She also leaves five grandchildren, Dawna Hadges, Paul, Derrick, Charles and Thomas Galusha; also survived by two great-grandchildren, Kelly and Mike Otis, and Kevin Doupé. Her legacy continues with great-great-grandchildren, Destiny, Tiffany, Dominick, Haughton, Payton and Talon Otis, Kourtney and Isaac Doupé, Allison Galusha; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph W. and Angie Boulton of Binghamton.

Rena was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Binghamton. She was a retiree of Binghamton State Hospital, where she was employed for 17 years. She also enjoyed housekeeping for several people for over 20 years. She will always be remembered by family and friends for her kindness and generosity to others.

Funeral services will be held at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton, NY on Saturday, June 20th, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Cordella J. Brown, Pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga, NY. The family will receive friends at the Shea Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
