BATH -- Mary I. Shader Galusha, 80, of 6650 Quinn Rd., passed away Friday, May 28, 2004, at her home.  She was born July 23, 1923 in Pulteney, NY to James David and Alida Eldred Sands.

Mary was a retired Electronic Assembler for Corning, Inc., Corning, NY after 27 years. She was a 60 year member of the Wheeler Grange, a National member of the International Good Sam Campers, life member of #31 Good Sam Chapter, a member since 1980 of the Local Order of the Moose of Florida, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Florida, a Charter Member of the Bath Ambulance Corp., the Election Board, Gulf Coast #1 sales person, and also the First Baptist Life Liner Sunday School, Lehigh Acres Florida.

Mary is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kenneth Galusha; two daughters, Betty Lou (Rodney) Holden of Hornell, NY, Nancy (William) Bacon of Bath, NY; stepchildren, JoAnne Hawkins of Canton, NY, Richard (Gail) Galusha of Big Flats, NY, Linda (Ron) Earley of Corning, NY; one sister, Shirley Galusha of Florida; one brother, Lawrence (Gladys) Sands of Canandaigua, NY; two sisters-in-law, Marion Sands of Penn Yan and Dorthy Sands of Branchport, NY; five grandchildren, Yvonne Stephenson, Victoria and Valcia Holden, Heather and William Bacon; two great-grandchildren, Trevor Holden and Annie Elizabeth Stephenson; nine step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Maynard Sands in 1987, Elmer Sands in 2002 and Kenneth Sands in 2003, and one sister, Wilma in 2003.

Friends may call at Seager-Jones Funeral Home, 4 E. Washington St., Bath, NY on Monday, May 31st, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Corning, NY on Tuesday, June 1st at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Jeffrey Becker officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Corning, NY.
