CLINTON – Lydia Galusha, 90, of Clinton, died Tuesday at the Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Michael Holm officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Schmitz Funeral Homes, Clinton.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Mike, Kerry, Ryan, Jesse, Brian, Mark, Kristen, Jennifer, Elena, Jamie Lynn and Tammy.
She was born Nov. 14, 1913, in Ventura, N.D., to John and Katherine Sayler Pfeifle. She married Alex Galusha on Dec. 3, 1939, in Ashley, N.D. He died in 1963.
She attended Ashley schools. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active with the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Frances (William) Gundlach of Folsom, Calif., Mrs. Kathy (John) Klobucnik of St. Franklin, Wis., Mrs. JoAnn (William) Cozzoline of Port Angeles, Wash., Mrs. Rose (William) Miller of Clinton and Margaret Thompson of LeClaire; one brother, William Pfeifle of Ashley; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and eight brothers and sisters.
The family requests memorials be made to the Thomas Wynn Unit at Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
