Witherbee -- James I. Galusha, 63, of Silver Hill Road, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2000, at the Porter Medical Center of Middlebury, Vt.

Born in Hague, July 14, 1936, he was the son of James and Nellie (Carpenter) Galusha.

Mr. Galusha was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was employed by the International Paper Company of Ticonderoga for 42 years as head cutterman, until his retirement in June of 1998.  Mr. Galusha will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy J. (Platero) Galusha; two sons, Donald J. Galusha of Ticonderoga and Richard A. Galusha of Hague; one daughter, Diane F. Woods and her husband, Clifton of Crown Point; one stepson, Bryan Platero and his wife, Paulette of Witherbee; one stepdaughter, Tracy Platero of New York City; a good friend, Howard Davis of Hague; and ten grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 33 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Diana F. Scholl, chaplain of the Porter Medical Center of Middlebury, Vt., will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot of the May Memorial Cemetery of Hague.
