Death Claims a Well Known and Respected Citizen of Coudersport

George W. Galusha, one of Coudersport's best known and highly respected citizens, passed away Saturday at the Coudersport Hospital, having been in poor health for the past two years.  For several weeks he had been a great sufferer, and two weeks ago, he was taken to the hospital for special care.

Mr. Galusha was born in Coudersport Jun 20, 1860.  His father was an army officer who died  during the Civil War.  He was married in 1879 to Frances Kleiss, of Allegany, N.Y.  Mr. Galusha started in the laundry business in Coudersport in 1885, which he successfully engaged in for a number of years.  Two years ago he was obliged to give up his work on account of ill health.

Mr. Galusha is survived by his wife and three daughters; Mrs. R. L. Orcutt of Coudersport; Mrs. Robert Roberts of Philadelphia; and Florence Galusha of Coudersport.

The funeral was held at St. Eulalia Church of Tuesday, Aug. 17th at 9 o'clock.  A requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. F. S. Doyle and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.

The out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were:  Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hodnett of Bolivar, N.Y.;  Mr. and Mrs. William Bartoo of Bolivar; Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Beeman, Mr. & Mrs. F. J. Osterstruck and son, of Olean, N.Y.; Mrs. N. C. Nenno, Mrs. Sarah Collins, Albert Collins, Joseph Stewart, of Allegany, N. Y.; Mrs. Delia Deiterman, of St. Mary's; Miss Florence Schultz, of Belmont, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. William Eaton and daughter, of Eldred.
