Edward Charles Galusha, 56, of 319 School St., died at his home this morning after a long illness.  He was born in Bennington July 15, 1911, son of the late Charles Galusha and Emerence (Mercier) Galusha, who survives.

He had received his education in the Manchester schools.  Mr. Galusha was self-employed in the trucking business.  He married the former Anita Brophy Oct. 14, 1939 at Wallingford, the Rev. Paul Hackett officiating.

He was a devout member of Sacred Heart Church.  He belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose. Fishing and hunting had been among his favorite sports.

Survivors besides his wife and mother are one son, Harold C. Galusha of Bennington; three brothers, Marvin Galusha of Lutherville, Md., Wilbur Galusha of Washington DC., and Raymond Galusha of East Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. George (Helen) Tapley of Townsend, Mass., and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Lupi of Elnora, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. with a prayer at Mahar & Son Funeral Home, followed at 9:30 by a Requiem High Mass in Sacred Heart Church.  Burial will be in East Clarendon.

Calling hours at the funeral home are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
